My wife and I returned to Istanbul—where we first met—to celebrate our 10th anniversary. Since we didn’t have any couple photos from back then, we asked Alpay to help us capture some memories this time around. We spent half a day together, from 8 AM to 12 PM, visiting several iconic locations in the city, including Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, Suleymaniye Mosque, a rooftop, a light-filled room, and a carpet shop. Before the session, I shared the style of photos I had in mind, and Alpay used his experience and local knowledge to suggest locations that perfectly matched our vision. Despite the intense summer heat, Alpay was incredibly patient and professional throughout the shoot. If you’re planning a trip to Istanbul, I’d recommend avoiding the peak summer months for a more comfortable experience. One of my best photo session in my life. You have to try when you go in Istanbul. I had a magic experience with SHOOTMYJOURNEY team. A great collaboration with the best teamwork. My experience with Alpay was beyond expected. He not only shot incredible pictures/videos of me outside on the designated locations but spoke to the hotel folks to shoot on the hotel property (given we did not have special permissions). He is skilled and does a very fine job. If you aren’t comfortable posing for camera he can give you right tips and tricks to make your experience worth your money and time !! I hired Alpay for a rooftop shoot to memorialize my first solo trip to Istanbul and it was an experience of a lifetime! I absolutely enjoyed every second! There are a lot of rooftops and a lot of choices when it comes to these types of photo shoots, but when researching, I liked his style the best! He is professional, kind, and really makes you feel comfortable! I had proposed my fiancée in July and I organized the secret proposal together with these guys. The event was a succes. Great photos with most precious moments captured perfectly. They had a lot of patience with us in order to make the after-proposal video absolutely stunning. Photo editing was a 10 and they managed to make an excelent video with a not so easy to integrate song.
